I started playing a level because my sister and her friend liked it, now it has now been my hyper fixation for like 2 to 3 years of my life. I've made SO much art of this, I've read so much fanfiction and watched so many hour long video essays that my brain is melting... like a strawberry sundae. all of this is just my opinions obviously the actual descriptions are in the games/on the fandoms page.

so Vergil is my favourite... I love his whole design and characterisation, there's just something so delicious in whatever they were cooking in capcom in the 2000's. in my opinion his DMC5 outfit is the best, although strong second place would go to DMC3 before his coat turned black with dust. I LOVED when his DT design looked like it had a coat, but I like his SDT cause of his tail design, I didn't realise until recently he has wings too because I thought they were just trying to make it look like he had a tail coat (I think that's the point of the silhouette anyway but I just didn't pick up that those were wings) and now I wonder why Dante doesn't have a tail. another thing I like is his concentration bar, I think it was a really cool way of explaining Vergil's character flaws and skills through the actual gameplay (I could also go off on a tangent about the specifics of his blocking on that note but Ill calm down) his whole characterisation is so well done, I like when a character with a strong personality actually makes sense and his blends together so well I think anyone who's heard of him gets the feeling of his personality but once you've really looked a little deeper you can just keep finding new reasons for how he is- this works really well since Dante is the protagonist AND his family member and it makes you look at him through such a varied perspective that you get the idea of how conflicted Dante feels about his brother.
